Reiki and Reflexology

What is Reiki?
The Japanese word Reiki (RAY-key), which means the “Universal life force” defines both the energy and the ancient technique of transferring this energy from practitioner to client in a simple, non-invasive, hands-on treatment. A natural complement to conventional medicine, Reiki fosters wellness and enhances the healing process of virtually every known injury and illness.
How does it work?
Reiki energy fortifies and interconnects all living beings, when this energy flows freely, you maintain a state of balance and ease. When this life force is blocked, some form of dis-ease typically follows. Reiki awakens your innate healing abilities, releases blockages from energy pathways, and helps you return to a natural state of well-being.
How is it done?
During treatment, the practitioner’s hands are placed gently on or just above the client who is fully clothes and comfortably seated or lying down. A Reiki session elicits the relaxation response, reduces stress and boosts the immune system. As a result, Reiki promotes physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.

What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet and hands that correspond to the organs and energy pathways of the body. By applying pressure to those reflex points, the practitioner stimulates the body’s healing powers and brings it back to a state of balance. It is a safe, natural therapy that relaxes and harmonizes the entire body. Tensions are eased, and circulation and digestion improved. Reflexology brings relief to a wide range of acute and chronic conditions such as headache, arthritis, insomnia, depression, digestive problems, backache, common children’s ailments, heart disease, menopausal problems, asthma, and more.
